2025
CAL 2025 – Sona Blanket – Years ago, during one of my many visits to the library, I stumbled upon a book on blackwork embroidery. This hidden gem in the arts and crafts section introduced me to intricate, geometric patterns that stayed with me. At the time, I didn’t even know of Tunisian crochet. It’s amazing how some things come together so perfectly! This blanket brings those patterns to life in a new way—through Tunisian Mosaic Crochet. It wasn’t an easy journey – there were countless swatches, tiny adjustments, and many tweaks, but the result was worth it. I believe this blanket is the perfect blend of two fiber crafts, drawing inspiration from one and transforming it into another using modern crochet techniques.
2024
CAL 2024 – Ipsa Blanket – This year, I ventured into working in the round, something I’ve been eager to try for a while! Creating hexagons in the round was incredibly satisfying, and the result is just stunning. The blanket pattern includes 30 hexagons, each featuring its own unique design. While the technique is intermediate, once you get through the first 5 rounds, the hexagons become a breeze to make. There are endless possibilities with this technique, and I love how each hexagon turned out!

2023
CAL 2023 – Zuri Blanket – This year, I experimented with Tunisian mosaic crochet! I love this technique because of 3 reasons –
1. You only need to know 2 stitches
2. There are no color changes in the middle of a row
3. You don’t have a million ends to weave in!
Each square in this blanket features a unique mosaic pattern, and the best part is that you’ll only have 4 ends to weave in per square! Plus, you’ll learn how to work mosaic crochet in the round, with a border that’s crocheted directly onto the joined squares, giving your blanket a beautiful finishing touch!
