Most people who crochet, have more than one project on the go at once. When you have several WIPs, some will inevitably get left for many months. By the time you pick them up again you can’t remember which hook or yarn you were using or where you were in the pattern!
Unfortunately, those projects either remain unfinished and forgotten, or end up being frogged. If this sounds familiar then a printable crochet project tracker maybe the thing for you.
What this crochet project tracker contains
This useful free printable crochet planner lets you write everything about your project, from the yarn you picked, the hook size, gauge, who you intended the project for with space to write your notes too.
The tracker also has a section to put a finished date on if you are making it as a gift. There is also a section to review it, allowing you to easily note your favorite patterns to use again.
So, when you need to pick up something different, you can store the tracker with the project. You will no longer leave your works unfinished due to forgetting details.
If you wanted to go one step further, you could even file all your project trackers together to create one crochet project journal as a reference for your crochet journey.
Print in color or black and white
Pictured above is a colored version of the tracker. The main page will have all the information about the pattern.
In addition, the free printable download also includes cards to attach a sample of yarn to. You can then fill out all the information about it, including the weight, color, dye lot and brand.
If you prefer a no-color version, just print the tracker in black and white mode and you will get a print like the one in the picture below.
How I am using this printable crochet project tracker
I am using this tracker for my current project – the Tunisian Blanket CAL of 2021. Here is a picture of my tracker!
This is great for working on larger projects where you may use lots of colors, like a temperature blanket. It is also useful if you run out and need to grab just one more ball to finish your project!
Check out some of my patterns that you can use this tracker for!

Thank for the tracker, I love organizational things. Plus it will be nice to keep note of the designer. If anyone is interested in a fillable PDF I could set it up.
